Doctor Who PCB Artwork

Maker Faire’s coming up in 2 weeks (buy your tickets! come and see us!), but in the meantime, I took a break from the preparations to have a little fun. Keep reading after the break for more.
In a statement that shouldn’t surprise anybody, science fiction is probably my favorite genre of entertainment (who else would build a full RGB Lightsaber?). And of all of the various bits of science fiction out there, Doctor Who is probably one of my favorite shows.
For the uninitiated, Doctor Who is a British science fiction show about time travel (among other things). The main good time-traveling race in the show is called the Time Lords that live on the planet Gallifrey. The Gallifreyan artwork used on the artifacts and relics of the Time Lord race is some of my favorite, so I set out to recreate some of the artwork, using PCB etching as a medium. You can see the finished samples of my artwork below, and even more photos of the process on the NBitWonder flickr photostream.
To etch the PCBs, I used the PCB Fab-In-A-Box kit from PulsarProFX. Complete instructions to etch PCBs using that kit are available here (PDF download).
