NBitWonder Legal Information
Disclaimer:
We want you to learn from our projects, and maybe even have a little fun while doing so. We do not, however, want you to hurt yourself in the process. Because we live in a very finger-pointing society, we feel compelled to present the following disclaimer: NBitWonder and NBitWonder LLC are not responsible for any injury, damage, or loss of life incurred as a result of attempting anything seen on this site.
Intellectual Property
Here at NBitWonder we create open source hardware projects and software tools that we share with the world. That said, various aspects of the site are licensed under different terms, and these conditions are spelled out below (with the least amount of legalese possible). Please read, understand, and heed these terms, and feel free to ask the NBitWonder staff if you have any questions.
Trademarks:
The NBitWonder name and logo are trademarks of NBitWonder LLC, and their use is strictly prohibited without the express written permission of NBitWonder LLC. In addition, all software and project names are trademarked, so we ask that any derivative projects or products made from our work be given a different name.
Copyright:
All site content (articles, blog posts, forum posts, pages, etc.) are the copyright of NBitWonder LLC. We don't discourage their use (feel free to link to us, quote us, cite us, reference us, etc.), although we do ask that you attribute the material to us. In addition, all project documentation is the copyright of NBitWonder LLC. Modification and redistribution of project documentation in the name of NBitWonder is strictly prohibited.
Hardware License:
All NBitWonder projects and products are made available to the public under a Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 3.0 license, unless otherwise noted. A copy of the license can be found here. Please note that hardware used in projects or products that is not created by NBitWonder is subject to the licensing conditions set forth by the hardware's creator.
Software License:
All source code written by the NBitWonder staff is released under the GPLv3 license. A summary of license terms and the full license text are both found on the GNU Licenses Web page. Use of libraries and other software contained in our projects remains bound by the original license terms set forth by the library and/or software creators.
